How serene your paintings make me feel, I also live in the Pacific Northwest and whenever I gaze on your misty watercolors I hear gulls and smell salty air and seaweed, imagining wet packed sand squishing between my toes along with occasional sharp seashell fragment, lol. In other words, I'm transported. Thank you for saturating your paintings with deep colors and irregular forms that are instantly recognizable as PNW, I love seeing our most common trees and familiar rocky outcroppings mixed with the many muddy colors of our beaches. I see your kite pulling a string and can almost feel that sharp wind against my own ear. Your paintings are calm, but never boring.
